Biography
Maggie McDermott graduated magna cum laude from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While in law school, Maggie worked for the California Western Community Law Project, a student-led legal clinic that provided legal services in multiple practice areas, including immigration law. Maggie also spent a summer in Santiago de Chile taking additional law school courses. She was senior editor for the California Western Law Review/International Law Journal and a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society.
Since graduation, Maggie has practiced immigration law, with a focus on family-based cases. Maggie is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and she has represented clients in matters before USCIS, Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and state district court.
Maggie grew up in Louisville, Colorado, and she received her Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and History from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
